Party Time… It’s begun

Festive fun and seasonal slayings

It’s official the festive season has arrived…… we’ve been getting busy for Christmas since August and for us it’s never been busier. We have always been a little run off our feet at this time of year with lots of Christmas parties and events but this year sees our busiest festive season since we started Blackwatch Entertainment seven years ago.

Between now and New Year’s Eve we have over 70 shows across the UK. Our actors are being kept VERY busy with all our themes proving popular. In addition to our classic format Murder Mystery shows - always popular for a seasonal celebration - our immersive shows are going down a storm with guests being treated to entertainment with a difference! Often involving an element of Whodunit our events offer the chance for guests to choose how much involvement they want in an interactive experience that they will remember long after the last glass of fizz has been imbibed.

With so many choices we are often asked what we recommend to clients and we always spend time detailing the shows and how they work so that clients can choose the option most suited to their own requirements and then we can work to tailor a show or experience to suit the venue or any specific requirements.

Some people love the theatrical aspect to our shows. Professional (always trained and highly experienced) actors appear fully costumed and mingle energetically with guests before the first death of the night (who wants just one?). Other guests love to keep things a surprise which is where our ‘Invisible’ murder mystery comes into it’s own. No one knows what is about to happen. They just are a little shocked at the venue’s ‘shoddy’ service until a death takes place and actors burst into song (and a little dance). For other clients they want to take things a little further and create more of an immersive experience. Often using a number of rooms - or event parts of a city - the guests take a journey to find out more about the story that unfolds in front of them.

Whatever the show that people have chosen we want people to have the best experience possible and here are our top tips:

  1. Arrive early in time for a drink (or two)

  2. Giving guests information in advance is crucial. People love to know what they are going to be part of. Don’t worry it won’t give the game away

  3. Dress Up. It doesn’t have to be full fancy dress. But wearing something different to what you would normally wear gives your event a sense of occasion

  4. Something for people to see or hear on arrival adds to the sense that this is something a little bit different

  5. Have a prize. It can be something silly or fun but people love to be competitive

  6. Get involved. Our actors love interacting with you. Ask questions, Quiz them and have photos with them.

  7. ENJOY YOUR EVENT

We had the most amazing time, great storyline, great characters & lots of laughs. Thank you so much!”
